It’s the ultimate statement piece and my wardrobe has been without one for almost a year, and today I finally decided to ditch the pastels, pleats and sequins to embrace my inner rock chick. You guessed it already – I’m talking about the trusty leather jacket.
After a random shopping trip I stumbled across Miss Selfridge’s Black Seam Detail Biker Jacket (£55) and Topshop’s Clean Biker Jacket (£55). I had a battle on my hands to decide which one I preferred but decided on Topshop’s version. The Miss Selfridge jacket is soft to the touch and feels a lot nicer than the Topshop version, but I preferred the look of the clean leather as opposed to soft and slouchy. Both jackets are best sellers and I can see why – the fit, look and overall style looks great with some killer dont-f**k-with-me high heals skinny jeans and a plain tee.
Whilst I’m happy with my new purchase there is a massive downside to these sorts of jackets, the first place I went to after buying the jacket I spotted someone wearing the exact same jacket. I think these affordable faux leather jackets are great for everyday use, but if you have one be prepared for the ‘who’s wearing it better’ show down.

Gorgeous! what’s your jacket size?
Hi,
Thanks! I got this particular jacket in a size 10. I usually take an 8, but i like to wear jumpers when it gets cold so I figured going up a size wouldn’t hurt.
