Burberry, the king of the trench coat is well and truly in full reign. A classic trench is a great investment, perfect with a fitted black dress, and timeless court shoes for work. Wanting to get my workwear wardrobe prepared for winter after seeing some of Burberrys gorgeous trench coats, I began my mission to find the perfect winter coat.

Whilst I one day hope I can simply waft into Burberry and spend hundreds, if not thousands on a coat (everyone can dream, right?), until then my budget is limited – but I don’t want to compromise on style. One of the key trends for AW12 are contrast leather sleeves, from jumpers to coats – and I just ADORE it! This new on-trend version of the classic trench coat is right up my street.

Classic khaki and cream colours with contrasting black leather sleeves are some of the most sort-after styles, and high on my wish-list. The Miss Guided contrast sleeve trench (£58.99) is my number one choice, but now it’s simply a waiting game for it to *fingers crossed* come back into stock in my size.
