I recently attended a conference which entailed an early rise at five in the morning and not getting home until one. Hardcore right? Very, considering I have turned into a sloth. So ideally I needed a foundation that was going to last the duration. After reading reviews and seeing other bloggers singing the praises of Estee Lauder’s Double Wear products I decided to invest in the foundation as I knew none of my current foundations would stand a chance.

I went to my local Boots Estee Lauder counter which was a very pleasant experience, the lady was lovely and matched my colour perfectly. The foundation cost me £26.50 but you only need to use a small amount every time. Once the foundation dries (which doesn’t take long) it is extremely hard to move. It covers flaws really well and I must take my hat off to this product – it lasted ALL day.

Unfortunately my eye make-up didn’t survive quite as well after a casual nap on the train but what a fantastic product. The only downside is in certain light I found the foundation looked very strange particularly in artificial light. It’s hard to describe how it looked but in normal light it looked fine. Estee Lauder offer more Double Wear products including concealer and lipstick, great news for my make-up bag, bad news for my bank balance.

So if you need a foundation that’s hardcore enough to last no matter what life throws at you, this one is definitely worth baring in mind.
