If you’ve read my blog before, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of Maison Martin Margiela and have been waiting with baited breathe for the more affordable H&M collaboration to come on sale. After battling to get onto the H&M website when the collection went live, I decided to invest in some perspex heel court shoes.
I went with the black patent leather style, with the idea in mind that they would add a much needed twist to my work wear wardrobe. I’ve met them, and must admit they fit perfectly and are some of the comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn. This said, they did come at the hefty price of £149.99. They look great with jeans and I think even better with a dress or a leather skirt, but since meeting my black pair I decided even as work wear they aren’t worth it for me as I wouldn’t wear them regularly enough. I have since debated purchasing the same pair but in the nude colour (having a huge nude shoe crush ATM), but watch this space. They also come in bright lipstick red patent leather which I just adore, but again wouldn’t wear enough to justify purchasing.
I love the quirkiness of these shoes, not your expected court shoe and definitely a conversation starter making passers by look twice as to how you hell you’re managing to walk.
What do you think to my new black patent Maison Martin Margiela leather court shoes with perspex heels?

OMG! I love these shoes but have only just found then! They would be so perfect for my bridesmaids on my wedding and I’m so bummed that I missed out! Do you know anyone who is looking to sell me a pair?
